Job description

We are looking for an exceptional and dynamic leader to join the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust as our Associate Director of Clinical Governance. This critical role will support the development and delivery of our clinical governance strategy, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, risk management, and continuous quality improvement across all our services.

Working closely with the executive team and senior leadership, you will lead clinical governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives to empower our staff to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

We seek someone with significant senior-level experience in clinical governance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a clear vision for driving improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively lead the Clinical Governance agenda, acting as a local expert on risk management, national standards, and clinical governance concerns.
  • Provide expert leadership to oversee risk management from Board to ward.
  • Implement the National Patient Safety Strategy.
  • Lead and deliver national and local audit priorities.
  • Responsible for producing the annual Quality Account and related quality priorities.
  • Support Executive Directors with legal, regulatory, and statutory obligations.
  • Lead and participate in Quality Improvement projects.
