Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to achieve regulatory goals
    • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned
    • Audit programs and locations for compliance with academic standards
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and regulatory compliance, communicate concerns
    • Prepare applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely
    • Coordinate with leadership for advisory board meetings documentation
  • Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and procedures
    • Develop resources to navigate varying standards across regions and programs
    • Maintain documentation on standards, deadlines, and requirements
    • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
    • Maintain records and provide training on standards
  • Project management for regulatory reporting
    • Manage timelines, support, and quality assurance
    • Assist in accreditation submissions with faculty and staff
    • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities
    • Report project status accurately
  • Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
    • Conduct mock visits, maintain visit preparation resources
    • Prepare leaders for presentations and visits
    • Represent compliance team during visits
    • Support logistical arrangements for site visitors
Strategic Growth:
  • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
  • Participate in strategic planning calls
  • Represent the university externally within regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets
  • Advise on approval processes and timelines
  • Assist with clinical development for new programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Remain stationary and move as needed within various locations
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Operate relevant equipment and technology
