HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional, and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody, and sub-custody settlement and services.

The effective management of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) is a high priority for MSS. The MSS Governance and Framework team, within the 1LOD Non-Financial Risk function, oversees and embeds the NFR Framework.

This role is within the Risk Framework and Governance team, dedicated to delivering and embedding the Global Operational Resilience Programme. The primary focus is supporting the Business in delivering and embedding requirements under operational resilience regulation, particularly in EMEA and the Americas.

The Business Analyst will ensure high-quality activities and products, providing consultancy to business and IT teams. They will collaborate with the business, process owners, and strategic programmes to define and document Important Business Services and assess their resilience.

In this role, you will:
  1. Work with MSS business lines to define programme scope and implementation timelines for operational resilience lifecycle.
  2. Act as a change and implementation leader with business leadership and teams.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders and infrastructure teams to deliver key resilience activities such as Value Stream Mapping, Impact Tolerance Statements, Scenario Testing, vulnerability management, and Self-Assessments.
  4. Ensure MSS Transformation Strategy is integrated within programmes.
  5. Provide status reports, manage objectives, and mitigate delivery risks.
  6. Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Understanding of Non-Financial Risk, with experience in 1st and 2nd Line Of Defence preferred.
  • Knowledge of MSS products, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Delivery focus with project management skills, including managing working groups and change implementation.
  • Stakeholder management across multiple functions, including MSS Front Office, Product Control, Traded Risk, Compliance, and Audit.
  • Strong communication skills across various channels.
