Job Description

Turner & Townsend alinea is hiring an Associate Director to join the MEP Real Estate team to support the growing Sports & Leisure sector. The role involves working on iconic sports and entertainment venues and masterplans, offering exciting development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and delegate cost consultant team activities: feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, tender evaluation, value engineering, commercial awareness, fee generation, dispute resolution, and post-contract management.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment, championing the company's culture.
  • Lead by example to ensure team engagement.
  • Drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process.
  • Work on diverse projects requiring evaluation and problem-solving, advising subordinates on technical issues.
  • Brief the team on project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear.
  • Manage and regulate service delivery to achieve excellence.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services within the MEP space
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
  • Degree or HNC level qualification
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
  • Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients
  • Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below)
  • Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management services
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
