Associate Director, Loan Servicing

Our client is a leading third-party Loan Servicing and Loan Asset Management business. This market-leading company works with a variety of real estate lenders, from bulge bracket investment banks to debt funds, managing performing commercial real estate loans, NPLs, and securitized products on behalf of their clients.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire an experienced real estate debt professional to manage a portfolio of pan-European CRE loans for key clients, acting as Facility and Security Agent on transactions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing a portfolio of syndicated and bilateral UK and European commercial real estate investment and development loans.
  2. Collaborating with the legal team and external counsel to review finance documents before loan closing and during the loan term.
  3. Updating financial models, diarising conditions subsequent, construction milestones, and other significant events, including borrower reporting, in line with finance documents.
  4. Liaising with borrowers and their representatives to ensure timely reporting and information provision.
  5. Coordinating with lenders, borrowers, and their lawyers regarding loan redemptions, restructuring, amendments, waivers, and other requests.
  6. Processing transfers, setting up waterfalls, and reviewing back-office calculations.
  7. Engaging with project monitors, borrowers, and lenders regarding drawdowns and lender splits, if required.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in real estate debt, with knowledge of the European commercial real estate finance sector.
  2. Facility Agent experience.
  3. Experience in both development and investment finance is beneficial.
  4. Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
