Associate Director Landscape Architect

As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects across various sectors, including public realm, residential, education, custodial, defence, and healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the practice while shaping meaningful places that respond to community needs.

Reporting to the Director of Landscape Architecture, you’ll be a valued member of our collaborative team. The successful candidate will be confident in work-winning, with strong client relationship skills and the ability to secure new opportunities.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a variety of projects, from small to large, across different sectors, through all stages.
  • Active involvement in delivering Discipline Business Plan goals.
  • Engaging in work-winning, bidding, tendering, and client relationships.
  • Participating in staff recruitment when needed.
  • Maintaining quality service delivery and developing client relationships for repeat business.
  • Managing project programming, staff resources, and team utilization.
  • Running and coordinating complex projects.
  • Managing multi-disciplinary design team activities.
  • Chairing meetings and overseeing the production of minutes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture and significant relevant experience.
  • Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (LI).
  • Proven experience in work-winning and managing major projects/clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, AutoCAD, Revit, and other software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Good contract administration knowledge, especially NEC and JCT.
  • Strong technical construction knowledge and understanding of statutory legislation.
  • Autonomy, honesty, reliability, and integrity.
  • Self-motivation and team management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
