Job Title: Associate Director
Department: Land Assembly & Compulsory Purchase
Location: London (will consider any of the LSH South East offices)

Our core service, LSH, includes valuations, land assembly, and compulsory purchase services such as compensation assessments and advice.

We are currently advising on various public sector projects and private developments mainly in the North West, West Midlands, and South East regions.

Joining our land assembly and compulsory purchase team offers a diverse and rewarding experience, with your work impacting clients' businesses directly.

Our national service line provides extensive expertise. Our services include:

  • Applying knowledge of compulsory purchase law and procedures to assist government departments, infrastructure providers, and developers.
  • Representing property owners and occupiers to ensure fair consultation and compensation.
  • Advising on property value implications and acquisition effects under compulsory purchase.
  • Guiding clients on objections and representing them at Public Inquiries and DCO examinations.
  • Valuing and preparing compensation claims, including business disturbance claims.
  • Negotiating with acquiring authorities.
  • Providing expert witness evidence at the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) if needed.
This opportunity:

We are seeking valuation surveyors with CPO specialization for our offices in the South, including London, East Anglia, and Thames Valley.

You will work with diverse clients, such as local authorities, lenders, and infrastructure companies.

This role is suitable for:

  • Chartered surveyors experienced in CPO matters.
