We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions — our goal is to become the premium adviser to the middle market globally. This vision motivates us to improve every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

Our Consulting team brings together multiple disciplines—Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing—to provide client-centric solutions for current and future clients within the middle market. With over 1,700 professionals generating nearly £200m in revenue, we play a major role in driving the firm’s growth.

At the core of Consulting are six key solutions: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. These solutions enable us to tailor our approach to support clients in achieving strategic goals and empower our team members to develop their careers.

Within Corporate Finance, we are the leading M&A advisory team in the middle market and are expanding our infrastructure M&A capabilities. To support this growth, we seek an M&A Assistant Director with specific experience in infrastructure, energy, and utilities. The role offers significant opportunities to develop skills in both execution and origination within our M&A advisory business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Helping to build and maintain strong client relationships and being a trusted member of the RSM M&A team.
  2. Engaging in a range of activities from broad corporate finance advice to detailed financing structures.
  3. Providing robust advice, supported by financial modelling as appropriate.
  4. Developing relationships with investors and lenders engaged on behalf of clients.
What We Are Looking For:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate will have:

  1. Extensive experience in pitching and executing infrastructure, energy, utilities, and transport M&A transactions.
  2. Strong financial modelling skills.
  3. Experience and willingness to coach and mentor analysts and associates.
  4. Ability to work closely with sector-focused advisory teams to originate new business and execute transactions.
  5. Experience in developing infrastructure and fund relationships to enhance profile and support product origination.
  6. Ability to develop industry and professional advisory relationships to increase RSM's M&A profile.
What We Offer:

We recognize our people as our most valuable asset. Our flexible reward and benefits package includes:

  • Study support
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • 27 days holiday, with options to purchase additional days
  • Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing benefits, including financial tools, electric car schemes, and virtual GP access
  • Access to over 300 on-demand courses developed by our talent development team
