Strategic purpose of the position:

This role is responsible for developing and implementing indirect tax planning and compliance initiatives. It involves active participation in the global tax team, managing relationships with group entities across countries, and handling matters such as group structure, transfer pricing, and new project implementation.

Job responsibilities:

• Research legislative and regulatory changes in indirect tax and assess impact on SHEIN; develop necessary process and business changes to comply.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic business changes, market routes, and reorganizations.
• Manage communications with tax authorities, including meetings and handling tax litigation efficiently.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure robust compliance infrastructure and data quality.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, treasury, and accounting teams to execute initiatives that maximize cash flow.
• Coordinate with corporate and regional tax teams on international projects.
• Bring energy and professionalism to the finance team, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Exhibit thought leadership in communicating complex tax matters effectively across the organization.
• Possess relevant professional tax and/or accounting qualifications.
• Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are a plus but not required.
