Strategic purpose of the position

This role is responsible for developing and implementing indirect tax planning and compliance initiatives. It involves collaboration within the global tax team and across various group entities, focusing on group structure, transfer pricing, and new project implementation.

Job responsibilities

1. Research legislative and regulatory changes in indirect tax and adapt business processes accordingly.
2. Partner with cross-functional teams for strategic business changes, market routes, and reorganizations.
3. Manage communications with tax authorities and lead internal teams on tax litigation.
4. Ensure compliance infrastructure and data quality with internal and external teams.
5. Collaborate with finance, legal, treasury, and accounting to optimize cash flow and protect initiatives.
6. Work with corporate and regional tax teams on international projects.
7. Demonstrate leadership, communication skills, and relationship-building across a matrixed environment.
8. Possess relevant professional tax and/or accounting qualifications.
9. Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are a plus but not required.

Minimum requirements

At least 10 years of indirect tax experience, with Big 4 experience preferred.
