Autolus Ltd seeks an experienced HR leader to partner with senior leadership in shaping people strategies across the organisation. You will drive HR initiatives, ensure policy compliance, and foster a culture of inclusion and performance.

The role involves collaborating with global stakeholders to deliver people programmes and life-changing treatments for patients. The ideal candidate will have CIPD qualification, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of building trusted

Qualifications

• Senior HR leadership experience in Life Sciences or related field.
• Experience partnering with Leadership Team and delivering HR strategies.
• Strong understanding of HR legislation and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and act as trusted advisor to Leadership.
• Design organisational and people strategies to improve performance and employee experience.
• Deliver HR lifecycle processes like performance reviews with support from HRLT.
• Coach leaders to deliver people initiatives and manage employee relations effectively.
• Drive data-driven decision making and strategic objective setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivates collaborative, credible, and trusting partnerships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to Leadership and Management teams.
• Design approaches to improve organisational, operational and people strategies.
• Customise HR, talent management and operational solutions to address specific business needs with the aim of positively impacting operational performance and employee experience.
• Establish HR best practices and drive a culture of inclusion and psychological safety.
• Act as a strategic partner in the development of the organisation’s plans and programmes.
• Identifies critical gaps in operational and organisational capabilities, collaborates with OD and HRLT, and designs comprehensive solutions and implementation globally scalable plans, ensuring these align with long-term strategic objectives.
• Using data analytics, guide the business on strategic objective setting to continue to build a high performing team for both the business and HR team.
• Understand business objectives and use data analytics to advise and guide senior leaders to enable insightful decision-making.
• Leads challenging conversations and interactions towards mutual conclusion whilst maintaining policies and values.
• Coach and develop leaders to deliver people initiatives.
• Collaborate with relevant managers and HR team members and Legal (where needed) to effectively manage and resolve employee relations issues to ensure limiting risk to the business.
• Alongside HRLT, enable the effective running of annual HR lifecycle processes such as performance reviews.

Demonstrated skills and competencies

E - Essential P - Preferred

• Previous HR leadership experience (E), including Life Sciences sector experience (P).
• Business partnering experience at a leadership team level (E).
• Influencing Leadership Team’s thinking towards adopting industry HR best practice.
• Strong situational awareness in working across a diverse range of functions (E).
• Qualifications CIPD Qualified (E).
• Skills/Specialist knowledge: Stakeholder and relationship management, Ability to balance delivery with ensuring decisions are informed from a best practice and ethical perspective, Expertise across HR legislation and best practice, Ability to identify skills-gaps and design solutions, Communication and Mediation, Relationship Management, Integrity in action.
