Associate Director – Highways Infrastructure Delivery

Project Centre, part of Marston Holdings, is a leading design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy passionate about creating attractive, innovative, sustainable, and safe places. Due to rapid growth in our West Region, we're seeking a dynamic Associate Director – Highways Infrastructure Delivery to join our leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with the Technical Director, providing leadership, governance, and strategic direction. You will oversee highways design, service development, and our design & build offerings, collaborating with specialists in Landscape, Urban Design, Flood & Water Management, and others.

What You'll Do:
  1. Lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion.
  2. Build lasting partnerships with public, private, and developer clients to drive growth and new business opportunities.
  3. Mentor and develop teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and innovation.
  4. Oversee commercial management, risk assessment, project programming, and related activities.
  5. Contribute to shaping business strategies to meet growth targets in the West Region.
About You:
  1. Extensive experience in highways design and construction.
  2. Proven expertise in quality assurance and technical leadership in design and delivery.
  3. Thorough knowledge of contract forms such as NEC PSC and ECC.
  4. Understanding of legislation, planning policy, and design standards related to highways and engineering sectors.
  5. Financial management experience for large projects and programs.
  6. Established network of industry contacts to support business growth.
  7. Track record of securing new client opportunities in both private and public sectors.
  8. Demonstrated leadership in team management and client results.
  9. Strong commercial acumen and enthusiasm for business development.
  10. Ability to inspire and mentor teams to achieve excellence.
  11. Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  12. Membership with industry bodies such as ICE, CIHT, IHE, or similar; Chartered status is desirable.
