Summary Description

The Associate Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research will be responsible for planning and executing access evidence for a program within BioMarin’s Enzyme Therapies division. They will lead the global access evidence strategy and tactical execution aligned with the compound's value & access strategy. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, developing, and disseminating HEOR evidence to demonstrate the value of BioMarin’s assets.
  • Influencing and shaping evidence generation by cross-functional partners to meet market access needs.
  • Supporting country and regional market access leads with evidence communication to external stakeholders including payers and HTA agencies.

This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders such as payers, HTA agencies, clinicians, and patient groups.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the global access evidence strategy supporting the access plan.
  • Participate in global evidence forums to represent market access interests.
  • Become an expert in value demonstration methods and communication.
  • Lead evidence generation, synthesis, and dissemination efforts.
  • Manage vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Review clinical trial designs and analyses to meet payer needs.
  • Interpret and communicate evidence to internal stakeholders and support reimbursement submissions.
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years HEOR experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver various HEOR projects including models and data analyses.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing teams.
  • Ability to interact with external decision-makers and patient organizations.
  • Knowledge of payer environments and global market access experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical packages and reference management software preferred.
Education
  • Postgraduate qualifications (Masters or PhD) in public health, health economics, epidemiology, or statistics.
