Job Description:

We are currently hiring an Associate Director for FX and EM Institutional Sales.

Institutional FX & EM Rates Sales is responsible for identifying sales opportunities that address specific needs for HSBC clients, managing these from identification to sale. The role involves coverage of global institutional clients, focusing on banks and wealth management.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Identify new leads in Institutional FX & EM Rates and develop existing client relationships.
  • Manage transaction flow from order to execution with the trading team.
  • Understand client needs to present HSBC’s offerings effectively through daily client interactions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Markets & Securities Services.
  • Collaborate proactively with sales, traders, structuring, research, and other stakeholders.
  • Achieve above-hurdle rate returns from managed customer relationships.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external and internal clients.
  • Work closely with European and Global FX & EM Rates teams and MSS.
  • Coordinate with Banking Relationship Managers to deepen client relationships.
  • Ensure fair outcomes and maintain market integrity.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in FX Institutional Sales with market knowledge; EM Rates knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of derivatives, including vanilla and exotic FX options.
  • Strong relationships with institutional clients, especially in banking, central banks, or hedge funds.
  • Interest and experience in eFX, with analytical, modeling, or programming skills preferred.
  • Cross-asset sales experience is beneficial.
