Job summary

Howden, a global insurance group, seeks an Associate Director to grow and retain profitable business across Financial Lines for complex corporate clients. You will lead client engagements, provide strategic risk transfer advice, and drive growth through cross-selling while collaborating with broking and technical teams.

You will manage high-value accounts, negotiate with insurers, and maintain strong market relationships to support renewals and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing mid to large corporate insurance accounts within a broker or insurer environment.
• Strong technical knowledge across Financial Lines and/or Financial Institutions risks.
• Track record of retaining and growing client portfolios through strategic account management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain a portfolio of complex insurance company and MGA clients with high profitability.
• Lead client engagements across Financial Lines placements.
• Provide strategic risk transfer advice and market insights to clients.
• Develop opportunities to grow the existing portfolio through cross-selling.
• Prepare market submissions and client presentations; negotiate with insurers.
