Job Summary
Manages Senior Research Consultants, Consultants, Managers and Research Associates in supporting consulting projects. Responsibilities include performance management and career development planning. Coordinate with senior management to allocate resources and ensure appropriate workloads. Acts as project lead and/or strategic lead providing technical and strategic insight into client-facing projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of health economists from new associates to senior level team members including
Ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures
Ensure employees meet organizations expectations for productivity quality continuous improvement and goal accomplishment
Supervise and mentor a strong proactive team. This includes assisting with hiring and training staff as required
Support the learning and development of the team through formal and on-the-job training, advice and coaching
Act as a technical and strategic expert in matters related to health economics e.g. global economic modelling, data analysis and local HTA submissions:
Leading projects and programs of work including acting as primary client contact when required
Acting as strategic lead ensuring the strategic direction of the project and working closely with the project lead, modelling lead and client to determine suitable approaches
Ensure high quality of all client deliverables
Overseeing the development of economic models and associated materials, submission dossiers, data analysis plans and reports, research abstracts, posters and manuscripts
Assist as needed with operation budget and financial responsibilities an activities of the department
Assist with planning and allocating resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work and meet utilization goals
Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance speed quality efficiency and output
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among the team that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness support and working effectively together to enable success
Contribute to business development through appropriate activities including:
Writing, costing and quality checking proposals
Marketing outreach activities such as blog writing, seminar preparation and delivery
Preparing submissions for and attending relevant conferences as required
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Masters degree in health economics, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology , data science, pharmacology, biochemistry, , or other relevant STEM field
MBA, MD or PhD highly desirable
EXPERIENCE
SKILLS
An in-depth understanding of the HEOR landscape, technical methods and key HTA body requirements, particularly within Europe
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload with a high degree of attention to detail
