Job summary

CLSA is seeking an Associate Director for EQD Operations in London to oversee end-to-end operational support and drive process improvements across the EQD business. You will lead a team handling reconciliations, exceptions and trade lifecycle events while coordinating with Front, Middle and Back Office units to ensure accurate recording and timely deliverables.

The role requires extensive EQD Middle Office experience, strong problem solving and ownership mindset, and excellent English

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years’ experience in EQD Middle Office / Trade Support or similar.
• Good understanding of EQD business structure and strategy.
• Knowledge of derivatives products and lifecycle events; ISDA/CSA/MCA knowledge advantageous.
• Products Static / Market Data / Accounting posting knowledge preferred.
• Solid front-to-back operations flow understanding.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, communication and prioritization skills.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office (Excel/VBA).
• Good verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end operational support of the EQD business.
• Drive process enhancements and support new products and system initiatives.
• Lead team in managing complex exceptions, reconciliations and stakeholder relationships.
• Support trade flow for EQD desk across Delta One, Prime Services and related areas.

• Review and update existing operations flow to keep procedures current.
• Perform root-cause analysis and suggest process improvements.

Position Description

The Associate Director, EQD Operations will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational support of the EQD business, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of key operational processes. The role will drive process enhancements, support new products and system initiatives, and lead the team in managing complex exceptions, reconciliations, and stakeholder relationships.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Support trade flow for EQD department trading desk in Delta One, Prime Services, Equity Finance, Exotic/Flow Trading & Listed Product Trading.
• Communication and team work with the various Front, Middle and Back office teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Working with Clients and external stakeholders such as PB’s in order to ensure daily deliverables are met.
• Oversight / Review existing operations flow from upstream to downstream and guide the team to achieve up-to-date procedures are in place.
• Root cause analysis of issues and suggestions to process improvements.
• Represent EQD Operations team for system enhancement project.
• Participate in New Product Approval process.
• Interaction with other CLSA departments such as Audit, Finance, Product Control and Risk to ensure accurate trade capture.

Requirements
