As an Associate Director in EICA Engineering, you will be involved in business development and engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects domestically and internationally.

We specialise in instrumentation and control/automation across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. We have openings in Birmingham, Surrey, and Bristol offices, with other locations considered.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams performing technical design work according to standards and quality expectations.
  • Define project briefs, scopes, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones.
  • Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Establish quality assurance standards in design.
  • Develop and grow ICA engineering capabilities within the practice.
Candidate Requirements
  • Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
  • Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary projects.
  • Deep knowledge of ICA design, PLC and SCADA systems, motor control, system architecture, communication networks, P&ID's, ATEX practices, functional safety, and control specifications in process/industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with UK design standards, practices, and regulations.
