Bring your skills as an Associate Director in EICA Engineering, playing a vital role in business development and engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad.


We specialise in instrumentation and control/automation across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. Opportunities are available in Birmingham, Surrey, and Bristol offices (other locations may be considered).


Your Purpose:

  • Own and lead teams undertaking technical design following relevant standards and high-quality levels.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and programmes.
  • Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Establish quality assurance standards in design.
  • Develop and manage ICA engineering capabilities within the practice.

What you can bring:

  • Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
  • Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICA design (instrumentation, PLC, SCADA), motor control, system architecture, communication networks, P&ID's, ATEX practices, functional safety, control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules, and system requirements in process/industrial environments.
  • Expertise in UK design standards, practices, and guidance.
