Associate Director, Direct Credit / Lending

Join HSBC as an Associate Director in our Private Credit/Lending business within HSBC Asset Management. This role involves leading origination efforts, analyzing transactions, and managing portfolio monitoring for mid-market private equity-backed businesses across Europe.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Origination of new investment opportunities in the UK and Europe.
  2. Assessment and analysis of Private Credit transactions for recommendation to the Investment Committee.
  3. Building relationships with financial sponsors, advisers, and HSBC Bank professionals.
  4. Reviewing information memoranda, business plans, and due diligence reports.
  5. Managing transaction documentation processes.
  6. Overseeing investments post-completion, including distressed assets.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Associate Director-level experience in Private Credit/Lending or Leveraged Finance, with exposure to mid-market lending.
  • Experience in deal origination, reviewing memoranda, and due diligence.
  • Strong analytical skills with financial modeling expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as IMC, CFA, ACCA, or ACA.
