Job Description:

Are you driven to help reduce our impact on the climate? We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven record in managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across various projects, from local schemes to high-profile infrastructure projects. You will support clients in transport, power, renewable energy, and water sectors to deliver low carbon and sustainable projects.

The role is part of our growing Carbon and ESG Practice, comprising over 50 professionals across the UK, providing services in decarbonisation, climate risk, circular economy, waste management, social impact, and sustainability to corporates and infrastructure providers.

You will collaborate with Practice leadership and the Carbon Service Line lead to expand greenhouse gas advisory services aligned with business strategy.

This position supports hybrid working and can be based in offices located in Birmingham, Basingstoke, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Nottingham, or Manchester.

We seek candidates with:

  • Experience in assessing greenhouse gas emissions for large infrastructure projects in transport, power, renewables, and water sectors.
  • Understanding of UK planning systems and GHG/climate change Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Experience developing carbon management plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting methodologies (GHG Protocol, PAS2080, ISO 14000).
  • Familiarity with UK/EU GHG policies and legislation.
  • Experience leading the development of carbon management and Net Zero Transition Plans.

Additional qualities include:

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience managing and motivating staff.
  • Business acumen in technical delivery, project development, marketing, and proposals.

Qualifications required include experience in GHG management in energy, renewable, carbon capture, or water sectors, developing GHG targets, and understanding nature-based solutions and offsetting.
