About Our Maritime Team

Haskoning is a market leader in the international maritime design and consultancy sector. In the UK, we have some of our largest teams of maritime technical consultants and engineers. Our maritime staff work closely with colleagues from other specialisms (including Industry & Buildings, Mobility & Infrastructure, Environment, and Water) as part of integrated project teams to deliver projects regionally, nationally, and internationally. We have a significant growth strategy for our UK business, and our prestigious Crown Estate & Hydraulic Modelling Teams in our Brighton & Peterborough offices will play an important part in realizing this ambition. Our portfolio for The Crown Estate includes managing their aggregates business, and our hydraulic modelling team provides modelling services internally and externally to support large infrastructure projects.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the Crown Estate & Hydraulic Modelling Teams in our Brighton & Peterborough offices. This role involves guiding the teams in meeting our strategic ambitions, primarily based in Brighton, where most team members are located. This is a unique and exciting opportunity at a pivotal moment in our industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Line management of the Crown Estate & Hydraulic Modelling Teams in Brighton & Peterborough
• Promoting and delivering strategic objectives
• Project Director on assigned projects
• Contributing to business development and expanding the order portfolio
• Providing technical and commercial advice to project teams
• Participating in the AG Management team and sharing responsibility for overall performance
• Providing strategic leadership and financial oversight
• Collaborating with sector directors to develop orders and sales
• People management and team development

Qualifications & Experience

You will demonstrate effective leadership and influence at senior levels, with a background in hydraulic modelling or infrastructure sectors. Specific requirements include:

• Relevant degree qualification
• Proven success in managing technical teams within hydraulic modelling or infrastructure organizations
• Strong relationship-building skills for business positioning
