We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Credit Trading, GBP Financials to join the team in London.

In this role you will:

- Making markets in IG GBP Financials Credit to the firm's clients.
- Management of trading book risk within defined limits.
- Generate appropriate return on risk in context of market opportunity.
- Maintain high level of client engagement, providing market colour, views and trade recommendations.
- Maintain appropriate market share for a top tier franchise (7%).
- Provide appropriate support and colour to DCM.
- Assist in the delivery of technical enhancements around pricing and data capture of the business.
- Provides timely and accurate execution of trades for the Bank's targeted clients.
- Effectively maintain risk positions whilst adhering to pre-set risk parameters and help the trading team achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure timely execution and reporting of trading tickets, maintain communication with sales desk and assist in resolving settlement problems, ensure ticket entry completion and provide general trade support as necessary.
- Provide pricing to sales teams and clients that is in line with Bank's policies.
- Ensure all trades are booked into front office primary trading systems in accordance with internal policy and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all transactions deliver fair outcome for our clients and do not cause disruption to market transparency and/or order, and are in line with HSBC Code of Conduct.

To be successful you should meet the following requirements:

- Experience and demonstrated understanding of financial markets and knowledge of derivative trading products.
- Proven knowledge of pricing and valuation methodologies in rates products.
- Possesses relevant GBP Financials Credit experience.
- Focus on transparent and comprehensive communication with various stakeholders including team members, sales teams and support functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and strong decision making skills.

This role is based in London.
