About this opportunity

Corporate Financing and Risk Management provides capital markets funding and financial risk management solutions to Lloyds Bank’s Corporate clients. Funding solutions are primarily based on public bond and US private placements (USPP), while risk management solutions encompass a broad range of financial derivatives such as interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, interest rate options and a number of inflation-linked products.

Corporate Financing and Risk Management includes over 30 colleagues and sits within the Capital Markets business of Lloyds Bank’s non-ringfenced entity, Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM). You’ll have exposure to a broad range of products and client opportunities. Corporate Financing and Risk Management is closely aligned with the financing and relationship teams in Corporate & Institutional Coverage (CIC). Key pillars of the team’s activity include conduct, transparency, a relationship-led approach, risk awareness and returns discipline.

Accountabilities

  • Primarily focussed on the origination of public bond market mandates as well the associated risk management opportunities
  • Responsible for day-to-day coverage of key clients
  • Providing, regular pricing, market updates and funding ideas to corporate clients
  • Analyse clients credit profile, needs and define and deliver relevant financial products.
  • Monitor the interest rate and debt markets, using the insights generated in combination with knowledge of specific client needs to contribute to financing and risk management discussions
  • Collaborate with traders to ensure competitive pricing and smooth execution of derivatives in domestic and international markets
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders including Coverage, Trading, Credit, 1st and 2nd line Risk Functions and other LBCM Markets partners.
  • Represent Corporate Financing and Risk Management on key projects
  • Help embed risk management by keeping track of risk parameters, identifying and reporting any major deviation to manage risk effectively.

What you’ll need

  • You’ll be expected to possess detailed knowledge of capital markets and risk management products
  • Prior experience of the corporate bond origination process is essential
  • Working knowledge of statutory, regulatory and compliance requirements as they relate to corporate bond markets and risk management
  • Strong communication and numerical skills
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different audiences
  • Ability to problem solve, navigate internal processes and create effective working relationships
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • High person impact, determination to succeed, attention to detail, ability to work well as part of a team
