Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Contaminated Land Consultant to lead land quality assessments across major infrastructure projects. You will manage Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, remediation design and verification, and guide multidisciplinary teams while ensuring health and safety compliance and client relationship excellence.

You will also contribute to bid work, coordinate with regulators, and mentor junior staff while maintaining quality

Qualifications

• Degree in geology or earth sciences with broad contaminated land knowledge.
• Chartered or SiLC membership preferred; professional accreditation expected.
• Significant project delivery experience in contaminated land consultancy.
• Strong leadership, communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead land quality assessments for major infrastructure projects.
• Deliver Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
• Coordinate remediation design and verification activities.
• Manage project delivery, budget, quality and risk.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure HSE compliance.
