Job title: Associate Director in Clean Energy

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

The Green Recruitment Company is thrilled to be partnered with a leading project finance consultancy and advisory. Our Client provides market-leading financial modelling capability with experienced project finance expertise. They have worked on more than 1,500 projects across global locations.

They seek a Commercial Specialist (AD level) to join their dynamic team, with a focus on renewable heat, energy innovation & wider decentralised energy. This role will provide expert commercial, technical, and industry knowledge, whilst managing project resources.

Responsibilities

  1. Managing several complex client engagements or components independently - consulting with colleagues where appropriate.
  2. Executing projects and maintaining a review process to ensure projects are completed to a level that meets high-quality standards.
  3. Providing technical knowledge on project specifics to junior staff and feeding back any perceived knowledge gaps to senior management to deal with.
  4. Managing commercial aspects of an individual engagement to achieve desired levels of quality and profitability.
  5. Progressing to specialise and contribute to a practice area - developing and maintaining greater industry knowledge and continuing to demonstrate credible knowledge of economic, political and market trends; passing on pertinent market/client knowledge to senior management.
  6. Managing scope and delivering timely and quality deliverables, with regular engagement communications with clients.
  7. Communicating risk and issue early to appropriate colleagues (and clients where appropriate).
  8. Where relevant, working on CPD to maintain professional status/ accreditation.

Experience

  1. Experience working in a commercial consulting role or commercial/development role within a corporate or investment company.
  2. Experience in project management, business case development, report writing, due diligence, risk and opportunity analysis.
  3. Experience in the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably the low-carbon energy sector, including the commercial development and financing of assets.
  4. Client-facing experience in providing technical knowledge and expertise to maximise the value of the project for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  1. BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field such as economics, law, finance, sciences, engineering
  2. MBA/MSc/MA desirable but not necessary
  3. ACA/CIMA/CFA/IACCM/CMI/MEI or equivalent membership (optional)
