Associate Director, Business Development – Consumer Health

IQVIA Consumer Health’s Omnichannel execution teams work with industry partners & clients to strategize, build, and deliver end-to-end sales and marketing programmes across the Consumer Health portfolio, from full brand fostering to sales execution.

We seek an experienced, solution-oriented sales professional to develop & expand relationships within IQVIA Consumer Health’s cross-functional environment, and own and drive the sourcing of new business & clients across target solutions both in the UK and internationally.

You must have a good appreciation of the Consumer Health industry, IQVIA offerings, and a strong client network with the ability to pull end-to-end solutions together to address client and industry needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify, develop, and manage a pipeline of new client relationships and opportunities from existing clients, private equity, and new organizations.
  2. Lead the development of qualified opportunities into closed deals to achieve revenue targets across the Consumer Health portfolio.
  3. Collaborate with relevant resources to support responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations that meet client needs.
  4. Act as liaison between departments to ensure appropriate SMEs are involved to assist in closing opportunities.
  5. Coordinate sales, business, & service lines at country, regional, and global levels.
  6. Gain in-depth knowledge of the client and challenge with innovative ideas to develop and close opportunities, providing end-to-end solutions to grow sales over time.
  7. Develop a good understanding of IQVIA Consumer Health capabilities to maximize account growth.
  8. Implement and evolve an annual sales plan, identifying potential clients, their needs, and the best approach to demonstrate IQVIA’s ability to meet those needs.
  9. Report on pipeline and forecast revenue status.

Our Ideal Candidate

  1. Extensive knowledge of the Consumer Health, health, and wellness market.
  2. Proven track record in solution selling across diverse capabilities.
  3. Strong sales and opportunity management skills across the full sales cycle.
  4. Ability to engage high-level contacts and develop a network of senior and middle management to build trusted partnerships.
  5. Proven ability to manage multiple clients effectively.
  6. Ability to create strategic and tactical customer plans.
  7. Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and sales opportunity management.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for professional communications.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex concepts.
  10. Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable, aiming to ensure positive client satisfaction.
  11. Strategic thinker with a solutions focus and tactical execution ability.
  12. Ability to develop internal relationships and collaborate effectively on client engagements and project delivery.
  13. Selling of outsourcing solutions would be an advantage.
