Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering professional building surveying services.
  • Manage client and project teams for timely project delivery.
  • Work to exceed client expectations with effective problem-solving.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision
  • Prepare specifications and schedules of work; draft standard contract forms; collate project documentation
  • Conduct defect analysis; prepare dilapidations schedules; negotiate for landlords/tenants
  • Prepare Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules; review tenant works for licenses to alter

Job description

Role Purpose

The role is for a RICS Qualified Surveying position within one of our Building Surveying teams, undertaking professional and project work for a combination of private investment companies, institutions and corporate clients with a particular focus on CBRE's Asset Services Department. Practice areas that are expected of the candidate include building surveys for investment and occupation purposes, dilapidations for landlords and tenants, Lead Consultancy & Contract Administration, refurbishment works, maintenance advice (PPM) and licenses to alter.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the successful implementation and delivery of professional and contract building surveying within the London Team through the completion of a range of typical building surveying instructions.
  • Take responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time;
  • Work closely with CBRE's Asset Services Business Line to grow our relationship and business.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion with the minimum of supervision to meet the project objectives in accordance with company policies;
  • Projects to include but are not restricted to:-
  • Building surveys for Investment or occupational purposes;
  • Lead Consultancy & Contract Administration;
  • Preparation of specifications and schedules of work;
  • Drafting of Standard Contract forms;
  • Collating project documentation;
  • Defect analysis;
  • Preparation of Schedule of Dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of Landlord & Tenant;
  • Preparation of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Schedules;
  • Technical review of tenant works for the purposes of licences to alter;
  • Looks for opportunities to bring and build value, delivering client solutions which exceed expectations;
  • To positively contribute to the Group and Building Surveying business plan and to assist in achieving its objectives;
  • Ability to build teams appropriate the delivery of client advice, with correct mixes of experience, skills and commerciality; Comply with CBRE's policies and management system;
  • Work in compliance with Quality Management Procedures;
