Job Description:

Calibre Search are working with one of Yorkshire's most independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancies with offices across the North. They are seeking a Senior to Associate level Building Surveyor to join and lead their growing team in Sheffield.

This role is ideal if you're ready to lead an office and become a leading expert in Building Surveying in Sheffield, without the immediate need to win new work, as clients and projects are already secured. The focus is on building a surveying team with the right technical knowledge.

The workload includes large-scale education, industrial, and residential projects. They offer a full career plan leading to Director level with potential shares in the business.

Building Surveying is a growing sector for the company, with opportunities to develop this area further.

Relevant Experience:
  • Relevant degree in Building Surveying or Construction Management
  • MRICS Qualified or close to achieving
  • Proven track record as a Building Surveyor, ideally in a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Knowledge of RIBA Stages
  • Experience managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Pre and post-contract experience
  • Experience in commercial surveying, including Pre-Acquisition surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Disputes, Landlord & Tenant services
  • Tendering, negotiating with contractors, procurement knowledge
  • Client-facing experience and relationship development
