The Team

Our Asset Management Advisory (AMA) team combines sector expertise to implement asset management and infrastructure solutions across sectors such as Transport, Defence, Power & Utilities, Telecoms, and Energy Transition. We support public and private sector clients with capital and infrastructure projects. We seek an industry-leading Asset Management professional to support our UK AMA activities, focusing on Operating Model Transformation, Strategy, Resilience, Estates Management, Assurance, and internal audit, especially for oil and gas clients navigating the energy transition.

Services provided by the AMA Team include:

  • Asset organisation and operating model transformation
  • Analytics and asset management improvement programmes
  • Asset investment strategy development and planning
  • Infrastructure resilience and adaptation including value-based frameworks
  • Assurance and internal audit of infrastructure activities, data and reports

The Role

As an Associate Director, responsibilities include:

  • Delivering large, complex client engagements at board level and below
  • Managing KPMG teams on client engagements and internally
  • Focusing asset management capabilities on client needs and within KPMG
  • Developing and deploying Asset Management tools and methodologies
  • Engaging with global teams to leverage resources and develop approaches
  • Managing relationships with key clients
  • Ensuring high-quality deliverables and financial management
  • Maintaining compliance, quality, and risk standards
  • Staying updated on global Asset Management trends
  • Supporting thought leadership and speaking engagements

Business Development

  • Identifying opportunities for additional value with existing clients
  • Building relationships for new business opportunities
  • Contributing to proposals and market propositions
  • Mentoring staff in business development skills

The Person

Ideal candidates work efficiently, with experience in delivering complex engagements, managing client relationships, and producing high-quality outputs. Backgrounds in asset management, infrastructure projects, or business management within asset-intensive organizations are preferred.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in realizing strategic asset management value at an enterprise level
  • Engagement with Board-level stakeholders on asset management topics
  • Understanding infrastructure operating models and asset management processes
  • Experience with asset lifecycle decision-making and planning
  • Risk assessment skills at service/network and asset levels
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of asset management information systems
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, Natural Resources, or Utilities sectors
  • Client relationship management experience
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels and work in teams
  • Commercial awareness and relevant advisory/consulting experience
