Overview

Associate Director - Fire Engineering

A forward-thinking, bespoke fire engineering consultancy, recognised for delivering innovative and practical fire safety solutions across the built environment are seeking an Associate Director to head up their Bristol team and play a key role in leading projects, managing clients, and driving the continued success of the business.

The Role

As an Associate Director, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of complex fire engineering projects across a diverse range of sectors.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of fire engineers, supporting their professional growth and technical development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Take responsibility for project and team performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation in delivery.
  • Contribute to business development, including securing new work and expanding the consultancy's presence in the region.
  • Work closely with the Directors on strategic planning, resource management, and the future growth of the business.
About The Associate Director

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience within a fire consultancy environment, delivering high-level fire strategies and solutions.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or the equivalent), ideally with IFE or similar professional recognition.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding teams.
  • Excellent client-facing and business development skills.
  • A desire to help shape and influence the growth of a progressive consultancy.
