ZEST Dental Recruitment working in partnership with an independent, mixed NHS and private dental practice in Colchester, Essex, is seeking to recruit an Associate Dentist.

• Independent Dental Practice – Mixed NHS & Private Dentistry

This is a superb opportunity for a General Dentist in Colchester seeking a part-time role in a well-established, family-run practice. Located in Stanway, Colchester—a rapidly expanding residential area—the practice benefits from high footfall and strong demand for both NHS and private dental services.

The role offers a stable and well-maintained patient list, with a mix of NHS, private fee-per-item, and Independent dental plan patients. The Independent scheme is designed to offer an affordable private option and continues to grow rapidly, with over 400 new patients joining in early 2025 alone.

With a UDA rate of £13, 50% split on private income and lab bills, and excellent private demand, this is a highly rewarding position. Current part-time associates are grossing between £15,000 and £30,000 per month from private work alone.

The practice is modern, spacious, and fully digital, equipped with:

• Four large surgeries (fifth in development for 2026)

This is a multidisciplinary clinic offering a wide range of services, including:

• General dentistry
• Cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers, Invisalign, composite bonding)
• Restorative treatments
• Facial aesthetics and non-surgical cosmetic procedures
• Private GP, consultant neurology, podiatry, and hearing clinic

The team is experienced and stable, led by a principal dentist of 21 years and supported by three associates, two hygienists, and qualified nurses and reception staff. The clinic is known for its excellent team culture, low staff turnover, and patient-focused care.

This role would suit a general dentist with excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality care. Skills in cosmetic or restorative dentistry would be well-utilised.

Successful candidates will be fully registered with the GDC and have experience of providing private dental treatment in the UK.
