Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Data Business Analyst, you’ll:

  • Support the delivery of key data initiatives, products, and projects within your squad and across teams.
  • Gather and document detailed business and data requirements under supervision.
  • Analyse business goals and translate them into actionable data insights.
  • Assist in identifying data platform capabilities and system requirements.
  • Contribute to testing and tracing the implementation of requirements.
  • Promote data democratisation by helping teams understand the value of data in decision-making.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify dependencies, effort, and cost implications.
  • Champion best practices in data governance, security, and operational procedures.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about data and eager to learn. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a similar role, a data-related apprenticeship, or a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • A basic understanding of stakeholder management and the ability to communicate clearly with support.
  • Awareness of business process and data modelling techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
  • A curious, analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Awareness of data quality validation and the ability to spot basic data issues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and data tools.
  • Experience with SQL, DAX, or analytical languages like Python or R.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Awareness of data governance principles and modelling standards.
