Do you enjoy supporting and guiding customers and team members to build data analytics solutions? At AWS, we’re hiring Data Analytics Consultants to collaborate with our customers and partners on key customer engagements. You will apply your technical expertise to solve complex customer challenges and develop cloud-based solutions at scale. You will guide customers through transforming their business with the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.

You will join as part of the AWS Professional Services (ProServe) Associate to Consultant (A2C) practice, which focuses on the accelerated career development of university graduates and early career professionals.

Our team members work with enterprise customers locally, regionally, domestically, and internationally. As such, this role has up to 100% travel associated. This role will be expected to work from customer sites throughout the UK.

AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help our customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. Customers innovate with AWS Professional Services, upskill with AWS Training and Certification, optimize with AWS Support and Managed Services, and meet objectives with AWS Security Assurance Services. Our expertise and emerging technologies include AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Key job responsibilities

The Data Analytics Consultant is an emerging leader with previous Data Analytics experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of design, development and operations using services like Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon EMR. The Data Analytics Consultant is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in data platform implementation and software development using languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • Hands-on experience building data or machine learning pipelines, and familiarity with machine learning concepts.

  • Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.

  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS services like Kinesis, and big data tools such as - Experience developing scalable, high-performance cloud software services.

  • AWS Certification(s), such as Solutions Architect Associate and/or Data Analytics Specialty.
