Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Cyber Security Test Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Hull. As a member of the operations team, the cyber security engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensures timely and accurate test results under minimal supervision. This role will focus on exciting new areas such as cyber security, smart energy, and matter technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of Cyber Security, Zigbee, and Matter protocols
  • Follow testing procedures accurately
  • Become familiar with test equipment functions, measurement, and calibration techniques
  • Maintain a technical logbook
  • Record test results on prescribed sheets
  • Prepare test reports as per the procedure manual
  • Interact with clients during testing to inform them of results and request additional information
  • Maintain commercial confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Department Manager - Smart Technology
  • Occasional domestic and international business travel may be required
Skills / Qualifications

  • University degree in computing, programming, IT, or equivalent experience
  • Interest in cyber security, smart energy, and emerging technologies
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C+
  • Familiarity with Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) processes is a plus
