Job description

In this role, the successful candidate will work as part of a team providing first-level customer support for customers (mainly accounting practices) using our CCH Personal Tax and CCH Corporation Tax software. This role involves resolving product issues via phone, Support Portal, or web chat.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, determined self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. We value quick learners who enjoy resolving challenging situations. You will have the flexibility to work in an environment that encourages autonomy and decision-making. While specific application and IT skills are important, a commitment to excellent customer service, initiative, and teamwork are equally vital. Support from colleagues across the team will ensure you are well-supported in learning the products and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective software support with quick response times.
  • Resolve moderately complex product-related queries reported by customers via telephone, community, and remote access.
  • Analyze product questions or reproduce issues and develop appropriate solutions using your knowledge.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to find resolutions.
  • Develop understanding of key business drivers, products, company processes, and customers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of Tax and Accounting or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability to new technologies.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Strong work ethic and team spirit.
  • Tax industry experience or certifications are desirable.
