OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide credit recommendations and monitor risks by understanding client needs, and delivering the best ideas, solutions to support the origination of commodity finance related business (i.e. Bilateral Trade Finance Lines, ARPS, Export LC business, Borrowing Bases etc.) and ancillary business within MUFG under the supervision of the Credit and Structuring Lead - Energy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Credit Analyst – Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring, and taking action further to your delegated authority in respect of, the risk being run across your client portfolio within the Energy desk, Commodity Finance, within Commodity & Structured Trade Finance. You are/will:
Responsible for your client portfolio, for managing all relevant risks (including, but not limited to, market, credit, operational and conduct risks) within the firm’s risk appetite including through the use and continued development of market-leading risk management models and monitoring tools.
Responsible for conducting business in line with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
Ensure that the Global Governance Standards are supported by appropriate and effective compliance policies and procedures that are applied consistently across the Energy desk Commodity Finance, within Commodity & Structured Trade Finance; and responsible, for your client portfolio, for ensuring that the Energy desk, Commodity Finance, within ECA, Commodity & Structured Trade Finance supplying information for risk and financial reporting is well managed and, within the policies established by the Company and Operating Entity's, Boards and appropriate committees;
You are responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with internal risk and compliance requirements, controls and procedures, including personally, following all relevant policies and procedures, and ensuring those in your teams also follow policy and procedures.
