Job summary

Monks, a global, digital‑first agency, seeks an Associate Creative Director of Design to shape world‑class digital experiences for a Portland‑based client. You will lead visual direction, work hands‑on in Figma, and guide multidisciplinary teams while exploring AI to push creativity forward.

You will collaborate with strategy, UX, and production to ensure craft aligns with brand and business goals, balancing technology, accessibility, and performance across projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in digital design or related roles.
• Portfolio showing craft across websites, mobile, and e‑commerce.
• Expert proficiency in Figma and hands‑on approach to work.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and visual storytelling.
• Experience translating brand identities into digital experiences.
• Experience mentoring designers and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute creative and design direction across digital campaigns, platforms, content ecosystems, commerce, and interactive experiences.
• Design key screens, components, prototypes, and user journeys in Figma.
• Translate brand strategy and business objectives into compelling digital experiences.
• Develop design systems and reusable components for scalability.
• Lead and mentor designers, providing clear feedback and guidance.
• Present work to clients and internal stakeholders with rationale.
