Key Responsibilities

The Associate, Counsel will manage complex projects that require coordination across multiple time zones, navigating challenging legal issues and tight deadlines. This role will assist with global corporate administration efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant international and local laws, and supporting corporate governance activities. A focus on commercial pragmatism will be essential to balance legal considerations with business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• M&A Support: Assist General Counsel in M&A transactions by conducting due diligence, reviewing agreements, and supporting document preparation. Facilitate post-merger integration, including contract transitions and implementation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Legal Team Optimization: Develop standardized legal frameworks, playbooks, and automate approval processes to improve contract management efficiency. Support legal document organization, version control, and workflow automation. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to optimize legal spend.
• Corporate Governance: Support drafting board resolutions and policies, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with governance deadlines and filings.
• Data Privacy & Security: Ensure compliance with data protection laws, cybersecurity regulations, and fintech-specific privacy requirements for digital assets.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience at a top law firm
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment
• Strong project management skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Prior in-house experience at a fintech company is a plus
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and reshaping the financial system
