Job Description

Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector. We are looking to recruit an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for our prestigious infrastructure-based projects.

As an experienced individual, you will bring a wealth of experience in cost management and be ready to apply your existing knowledge in a new and dynamic environment. We seek a candidate comfortable with challenging conversations, adopting a consultative approach that can bring out the best in their team and clients.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

• Establishing professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and other project stakeholders.
• Administering various contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
• Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion within budget.
• Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
• Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
• Managing contract changes effectively, ensuring projects adhere to governance and best practices.
• Driving improvements in forecast and budget accuracy.
• Providing sound commercial support and knowledge to stakeholders.
• Negotiating and finalizing project accounts.
• Leading teams and managing commissions as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Cost / Commercial Management
• MRICS qualification preferred
• Experience with NEC3 contracts, especially Option C – Target Cost
• Post-contract administration experience
• Experience working on Major Programmes and Projects
• Experience in infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways)
• Experience leading and managing teams
