A leading global real estate and construction consultancy is seeking a talented and commercially astuteAssociate Cost Consultantto join their thriving Birmingham office. Working within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary environment, you’ll take ownership of client relationships, manage cost planning and commercial strategy, and help shape the growth of the cost consultancy team in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the cost management and commercial delivery of a variety of construction projects, primarily within the commercial and mixed-use sectors
• Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, contract administration and post-contract services
• Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management efforts within the Midlands region
• Provide strategic cost advice and financial reporting to clients, ensuring best value and robust risk management

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a cost consultancy or quantity surveying role, ideally within a consultancy environment
• MRICS qualification (or working toward chartership)
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of modern procurement routes
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to lead projects and delegate effectively within a team environment
• Confident working across all stages of pre- and post-contract project phases
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently on key accounts
