Associate - Corporate Crime - Bristol - 2-4 Years PQE

Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience)

A highly respected international law firm is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience to join its Tier 1 ranked Corporate Crime team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, multi-jurisdictional investigations and disputes alongside leading partners and associates.

The Role
  • Leading and supporting large-scale, cross-border criminal investigations (internal and regulator-led).
  • Advising corporates and board-level individuals on allegations involving bribery, corruption, money laundering, fraud, and sanctions breaches.
  • Providing defence representation for corporates and individuals.
  • Assisting with investigations into tax evasion facilitation, financial misstatements, and modern slavery/supply chain issues.
  • Supporting clients in their interactions with enforcement agencies such as the SFO, FCA, DOJ, and other international regulators.
  • Working on matters involving cybercrime, ESG‑related risks, and complex compliance challenges.
  • Contributing to remediation and compliance programmes following enforcement actions or whistleblower reports.
  • Delivering advisory work across the full spectrum of corporate crime.
Candidate Requirements
  • 2-4 years PQE, trained and qualified at a leading firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Proven experience in corporate crime, financial crime, and complex investigations.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and ability to manage sensitive, high-value matters.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive team.
