Job Description:

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support the cloud infrastructure of Amazon Web Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, and more.

This Associate Corporate Counsel will primarily support AWS's Data Center Operations team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which is responsible for the operation, physical security, maintenance, and logistics of AWS data centers and related infrastructure. The role involves interfacing directly with customers and working directly with business and other stakeholder teams to provide day-to-day counseling, contribute to projects, negotiate contracts, and address vendor issues. As counsel supporting a large international organisation, this attorney must be adept at synthesising legal requirements across many jurisdictions and providing risk-calibrated solutions. The role requires strong drafting skills and an ability to distill complex issues into concise and actionable guidance.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Compensation will be based on experience and includes equity compensation.
