Role Overview: Responsible for leading the construction delivery of MEP services, ensuring outcomes related to time, budget, safety, and quality. Directs high-quality, efficient, and profitable service delivery, providing leadership, and ensuring compliance, governance, assurance, and team management. Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is fundamental.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Reporting to the MEP Lead within the project team, ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
  • Managing construction aspects of MEP services, site environment, programme, health, safety, wellbeing, quality, and commissioning.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, trade contractors, and team leaders.
  • Deploying project strategic plans aligned with Mace's framework, including prefabrication, commissioning, and safety.
  • Reviewing project programmes, monitoring productivity, addressing issues, and using digital tech for schedule adherence.
  • Overseeing quality assurance and ensuring installation quality and adherence to processes.
  • Coordinating delivery strategies, milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics, and work sequencing.
  • Implementing commissioning strategies in line with standards, including IST approach, ATPs, and soft landings.
  • Assessing productivity and driving project close-out to high standards.
  • Identifying risks proactively and developing mitigation plans.
  • Reviewing issues for continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  • Working collaboratively towards net-zero carbon goals, managing associated emissions and reductions.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • Advanced management process knowledge to lead successful project completion.
  • Technical expertise in building services engineering, including installation, testing, and prefabrication.
  • Knowledge of other technical trades and construction build elements.
  • Proficiency in commercial management and planning processes.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and welfare standards.
  • Experience with quality assurance, commissioning, and digital technologies.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects over £25m MEP value.
  • Relevant sector experience and successful project contributions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Trade or engineering apprenticeship, formal engineering/construction training, and certifications like SMSTS and CSCS.

You’ll Also Have:

  • Ability to structure site teams, define project requirements, and undertake recruitment.
  • Accreditations with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, CIOB.
  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational equivalent.
