Job Description

A family-owned mechanical and electrical construction company based in the South-East is looking for a Commercial Manager to lead a small team of mechanical and electrical estimators.

This is a rare opportunity for someone fully trained and competent in a QS role within the M&E or main contractor industry (buildings) to progress to Commercial Manager.

Package
  • Salary: £70,000 to £80,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to meet project goals
  • Monitor project performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and review tender documents and proposals
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
