You'll have the potential to work effectively across a diverse range of internal projects and teams spanning multiple business units as a customer lead or an operational specialist, assessing requirements, to provide and manage the solutions and services that align with your customer's particular needs and deliver organisational excellence as well as compliance. You will be encouraged to showcase your skills on unique projects.

You will be able to demonstrate how responsiveness, efficiency and professionalism are the hallmarks of your outstanding service in supporting the Commercial Lead, accountable for your own portfolio or operational workstreams - ensuring the fulfilment of goods and services across the business. You'll employ exemplary standards through your contribution across the entire project lifecycle (specifications, ITTs, contracts and contract management). You will support continuous improvement of people and commercial capabilities, and through effective operational management and expertise, enable and drive opportunities for new activities which will enhance your customer offering, inspiring and supporting others around you to do the same. Faultless commercial acumen, exceptional influencing, prioritisation, negotiation and people skills are essential.

With significant expertise in commercial settings, your analytical ability and aptitude to balance risks and benefits, as well as issue resolution, will be critical. You will develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. You will prioritise delivery of work against highly complex activity and competing criteria, being adaptable and experienced enough to deliver tactical and strategic outcomes. You will approach challenges and problem resolution enthusiastically, focusing on the customer and the details to understand and address issues, create and ensure the delivery of solutions, and identify and drive opportunities for new activities that will enhance your customer offering.

These commercial roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we're not looking for ordinary candidates.

As an exceptional commercial professional, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in commercial roles
  • Experience in sourcing, commercial operations, supply chain, or supplier management

  • Ability to achieve short and long-term reductions, efficiencies, and enhancements
  • Data analysis skills to support decision-making
  • Contractual issue resolution skills
  • Ability to build, nurture, and manage strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Ideally, commercial experience in technology or digital environments

You will:

  • Hold or be willing to attain a professional commercial qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 5 or equivalent
  • Demonstrate expertise in coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, leadership, issue resolution, upskilling, and people support
  • Show problem-solving and task management skills
  • Exhibit strong communication skills

Additionally, you will role model the following behaviours:

  • Proactive, committed to personal development, self-starter, rapport builder, driven, resilient, inclusive, collaborative, responsive

In return:

You'll join an ambitious, high-level team of highly skilled individuals, all focused on delivering the best possible outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to step away from the mundane and forge your own path in a transformative project.
