Location: The Wilmslow Hospital, 52-54 Alderley Rd, Wilmslow SK9 1NY

Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday, Earlies 7.30am – 3.30pm; Lates 1pm – 9.30pm (flexibility needed to suit business needs)

We’re looking for an Associate Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Care team at The Wilmslow Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

As an associate clinical nurse specialist, you will provide holistic and evidence-based care to patients in the breast cancer pathway, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide leadership and clinical expertise. This role requires the post holder to work autonomously, applying knowledge to oversee and coordinate patient care and personalize the patient pathway. Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential. The post holder will also participate in driving health promotion, service development, and staff mentorship and education.

The Wilmslow Hospital diagnoses and treats a range of conditions using advanced technology, including a 3T MRI scanner and state-of-the-art laminar flow operating theatres. The hospital comprises 13 consultant rooms, a diagnostic imaging suite, 2 operating theatres, and a dedicated women’s health unit. The Outpatients Department services various specialties.

What you’ll bring:

  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Post-basic qualification in oncology, preferably in breast cancer care, or willingness to train
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Level 2 psychological skills training or working towards it
  • Experience in teaching
