Position: Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer

A company based in Manchester is looking to expand their civil engineering team by recruiting an Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer, capable of overseeing design work and coordinating with clients, contractors, and local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in designing infrastructure projects including highways, drainage, and earthworks, with current knowledge of Civils 3D, CAD, and drainage design software.

The team provides a wide range of consultancy services to both local and national clients, covering all project stages from inception to commissioning. You will work on multiple challenging projects, undertaking preliminary and detailed designs of roads, levels, drainage, and external works in both public and private realms.

Requirements:

1. Oversee the design for infrastructure projects.
2. Represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
3. Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes, with design capabilities when supervised by senior staff.
4. Knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106, and S185 drainage schemes, including awareness of current drainage legislation and sustainable drainage practices.
5. Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
6. Proficiency with Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and drainage modelling software such as FLOW or Micro Drainage.
