Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Manchester

A company based in Manchester is looking to expand their civil engineering team by recruiting an Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer, an individual capable of overseeing design work and coordinating with clients, contractors, and local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the design of infrastructure projects including highways, drainage, and earthworks, with current knowledge of Civils 3D, CAD, and drainage design software.

The team provides a wide range of consultancy services to local and national clients, from inception to commissioning. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, undertaking preliminary and detailed designs of roads, levels, drainage, and external works in both public and private sectors.

Requirements

• Oversee infrastructure project designs
• Represent the company at client, contractor, and local authority meetings
• Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes, with design capability under supervision
• Knowledge of S104, S106, and S185 drainage schemes, including current legislation and sustainable drainage practices
• Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments
• Proficiency with Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and drainage modelling software such as FLOW or MicroDrainage
