Requirements:

We are hiring for Associate or Chief Geotechnical Engineer roles within our Ground Engineering division. Candidates should be capable of leading complex geotechnical projects independently, providing technical reviews, and supporting colleagues in understanding advanced geotechnical principles and offshore geotechnics.

The successful candidate will play a key role in Offshore Geotechnics and Numerical Modelling disciplines, advancing AtkinsRéalis’ geotechnical design and modelling capabilities.

The candidate should have:

• A relevant degree, ideally with MSc or PhD.
• Proven geotechnical analysis and design experience, particularly in offshore sectors.
• Experience with offshore foundation design (monopiles, jackets, suction caissons), driveability, cable trenching, and deep-water anchoring.
• Knowledge of advanced soil models, parameter selection, soil-structure interaction, and proficiency with numerical modelling software (e.g., FLAC, PLAXIS 2D/3D).
• Experience in validating and calibrating geotechnical numerical models.
• Ability to manage geotechnical analysis within interdisciplinary projects.
• A desire to innovate digitally and enhance offshore geotechnics capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for client and multidisciplinary team interactions.
• Strong report writing skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel for short assignments within the UK and abroad.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• A valid UK driving license.

Office location preferences include Epsom, London, Glasgow, or Bristol, to be discussed at interview.
